She sees an opportunity to help humanity by facilitating the expression and release of emotions in a healthy and healing way, spreading community values, and helping people develop connections among all things, including their family, neighbors, spirit, and the world.

Environmental stewardship Ida has taken a firm stance on environmental care and made extraordinary efforts to prevent problems such as pollution and plastic waste to ensure the preservation of the vitality and quality of life of plants, animals, and humans. Her message is one of fostering harmony with nature and initiating efforts to preserve its natural beauty. She perceives neglect of our environment as a human problem that we have the power to solve.

Spiritual unity Achieving higher consciousness is one of the ultimate successes within Balinese Hindu dharma. Ida aims to guide people on their own path to develop their connection with universal consciousness and find their own sense of peace and harmony.

Tri Hita Karana “People among themselves, people with nature, people with the spirit.” These missions together form “Tri Hita Karana,” the traditional philosophy of life in Bali. Ida desires to carry this message as an ambassador of Balinese culture while also returning to her home community.

I was born and raised in Bali, I am the first professional trainer of KRI Indonesian origin teachers and a level 3 Kundalini yoga teacher (anticipated in 2022). As a yoga and meditation teacher, my main specializations are Hatha yoga inspired by Scravelli and KRI Kundalini yoga along with further training in addiction recovery, cancer prevention, children’s yoga, and prenatal yoga. My classes are student-focused, safe, and holistic, suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners ready to deepen their practice. I intertwine the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga with everyday spiritual practice and make this ancient wisdom accessible to today’s lifestyle.

I have been practicing Kundalini yoga since 1999, teaching since 2009, and since 2011 teaching in the KRI Certified Level One programs for Kundalini yoga teachers in Toronto with Sat Dharam Kaur ND; since 2016 in Bali, with Dr. Haridass Kaur Khalsa PhD; with KRI Immersion in Bali and New Mexico in 2018, back in Bali in 2019; as well as with Kundalini Yoga Asia in 2020-21; and Southeast Asia and Australia in 2021–22 (both are “hybrid,” on-site and online programs).

Also, as an interdisciplinary teacher with 35 years of teaching experience, I have taught in the public education system in Indonesia — at Commerce Polytechnic University in Bandung and STIA Tanjung Pinang; and in the Holistic Health Practitioner program within the continuing education of Seneca College in Toronto, Canada. Previously, I was a school administrator at a Vocational ESL School in a consortium of the US Save the Children Federation & The Experiment in International Living. Before that, I was in the relocation division of the local UNHCR office in the Pulau Galang refugee camp.

In addition to being an educator, I am a yoga and wellness exercise leader, certified holistic health practitioner, life coach, breathwork facilitator, ice bath facilitator, birth and postpartum doula, and a Reiki master teacher. I enjoy inspiring others to make life-affirming decisions and inspiring them to find their own gateways to wholeness (Sat Nam).
